Evoland 2 just wasn't as magical you could say, as Evoland 1. Evoland 2 just jumps to the upgrades too fast, no sense of progression thus being present. This guy knows where it's at! Evoland 1 wasn't meant to be a huge long story, just an experience. Ha volt játék, aminek nem jósoltunk volna folytatást, az az Evoland. Then there's a plot and characters I've no reason to care about, and other general game designs that feel like they were slapped together half heartedly for the sake of simply making a squel, rather than a good game, because sequels sell better. The start felt like evoland, as you start in what looked like gameboy graphics, but you so rapidly go from 1 dimensional movement, to 2, to sound, colour, and in barely a few minutes you've done everything that made evoland 1 interesting and fun, and the game doesn't even care, or explain it. When I got to it, it felt like something fresh and original, with some nice nods to other games that inspired it, and a satisfying progress of "evolving" through technological advances in computer games. The concept was clearly appealing enough to continue development and realease it as a fuller game.
